Refer a Home for Weatherization

Refer a home to Kentucky’s Clean Energy Corps.

Qualifications

To qualify, participating families must meet income standards under the federal Weatherization Assistance Program.

• Congress recently adjusted the law to extend eligibility to families whose incomes are less than 200 percent of the federal poverty line.  With poverty defined at $21,200 for a family of 4, such families must earn less than $42,400 to qualify.
   
• Congress also increased the per-home maximum assistance of weatherization funds to $6500, encouraging states to pursue separate elements of weatherizing eligible homes, such as attic insulation.
