Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners
The purpose of the Board of Veterinary Examiners is to administer and enforce the statutory authority and to monitor the needs of the consuming public. The Board examines and licenses all eligible candidates for entry into the profession of Veterinary Medicine. It recommends appropriate changes in the law to assure fairness and equality. The Board conducts formal hearings when necessary and prosecutes by due process any violators of KRS 321.
Please be advised that the fee for the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) has gone up to $200.00. You must pay the $200.00 examination in addition to the $25.00 application fee before being approved to sit for the examination in June.
Please be aware that it is your responsibility to keep the board notified of any address or name changes. Failure to do so may result in delays in the licensing process.
