Spot Bid Sales and Public Auction

Spot bid sales to be held at the Division of Surplus Property Warehouse, 999 Chenault Road, Frankfort, KY, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on each of the following dates (the first or second Wednesday of the month.

The Finance and Administration Cabinet, Division of Surplus Property, will conduct a public spot bid sale of miscellaneous state-owned property on the dates and at the location listed above. Various types of personal property will be sold at each sale. Check this Web site regularly for a listing of the types of property to be sold at each sale.

A listing of property types will be posted from one to two weeks prior to the sale date. Property for sale may only be inspected on the day of the sale from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No exceptions.

You will receive a numbered bidding sheet when you register on the day of the sale. Sale lists will not be available prior to the sale. All bid sheets to be turned in to the clerk by 1:00 p.m., when the bids received will be tabulated and award made to the highest bidder with full payment to be made at that time.

A listing of the high bids received for each sale will be posted to this site the day of the sale. The commonwealth reserves the right to reject any bid. All property sold "As-Is" and "Where-Is". Property purchased may be loaded until 6 p.m. on the day of the sale. Property may also be removed during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) the Thursday and Friday following the sale. All items purchased must be removed by the close of business the Friday following the sale (unless stated otherwise). Failure to remove all items purchased, or make full payment on the day of the sale, will result in being disbarred from further sales for one year.

All payments to be made by cash, cashier's check, certified check, money order or personal check written on an in-state bank with proper ID. Out-of-state checks only accepted if certified or supported by a certified letter of credit from the bank. All checks to be made payable to the "Kentucky State Treasurer".
Some sales may be canceled or additional sales scheduled as needed. Check this site regularly for updates.

The Finance and Administration Cabinet, Division of Surplus Property, will be conducting public spot bid sales of miscellaneous state-owned property on Wednesday, July 9 and Wednesday, July 23, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. thru 1:00 p.m. each day at 200 Fair Oaks Lane, Frankfort, Kentucky. Excess office furniture will be sold at each sale.
