On January 15, 2009, the Governor's Higher Education Work Group will be issuing its first report, suggesting ideas for Frankfort policymakers to reduce college costs. We are looking to the public (especially students and their families) to help us identify cost-related issues, and to find ways to better predict, control, and even reduce expenses associated with higher education. We have prepared a draft list of priorities for both the January 15 report, and the September 1 report. Please submit your thoughts, concerns, ideas, and suggestions for both short-term and long-term solutions. We will take every suggestion into consideration as we work to help all Kentuckians realize the dream of a college education.
